It’s our ecommerce heritage that gives us the in-depth knowledge and experience to build successful search marketing strategies.
In the early days of the dot com era, Red Hot Penny Founder and Managing Director, Darren Bull, took on a role at Creative Labs as a Web Master. While he was there, he was at the forefront of building ecommerce solutions for retailers making the move online.
In 2005 Darren, along with his business partners, formed their own ecommerce solutions agency called Metakinetic. They developed innovative and database-driven website applications for clients keen to embrace the world of e-tailing. This included the likes of Marks & Spencer, LowePro and SanDisk.
Metakinetic soon expanded into other areas such as UX, graphic design and digital marketing services. In 2013, Metakinetic partnered with SEKO logistics, who would later become an investor and enable the partnership to provide end to end ecommerce solutions.
By 2015, digital marketing had become the largest part of Metakinetic’s business – Red Hot Penny was founded to meet the demand from a fast growing list of clients.
The ecommerce knowledge established through Metakinetic is deeply ingrained in Red Hot Penny. And it’s been the driving force taking us from strength to strength in the digital marketing and ecommerce space.
In 2017 we were made a Google Premier Partner and were shortlisted for the Google Premier Partner Award just 6 months later. Earlier that year, we’d already brought home the award for Biddable Brand Campaign of the Year at the Biddable Media Awards.
2018 saw us refine our proposition as an agency to focus on search marketing and use our ecommerce heritage to deliver industry-leading strategies and solutions for our clients.
Today, we continue on our mission to fuel ambitious brand growth with our integrated mix of services.
