With the desire to achieve higher click-through rates as well as increase social media engagement and awareness, how did World of Wallpaper, an online wallpaper and décor site, grab the attention of its target audience?

What were the main business goals for World of Wallpaper? is a family-owned business based in Berkshire providing beautiful wallpapers and home décor from their e-commerce site they’ve  been running for over 12 years.  

World of Wallpaper wanted Red Hot Penny to help them increase their social media presence by growing their audience, driving significant engagement through their social channels and increasing their click-through rates across their Facebook and Instagram accounts. 

How did Red Hot Penny help World of Wallpaper achieve success?  

We got our paid media team to research and find potential World of Wallpaper fans across social media platforms, with a focus on Facebook.  

Once we had these audience insights, we could carefully plan a marketing strategy to grab the attention of these potential fans and customers on Facebook and Instagram. 

To meet World of Wallpaper’s social goals, we used our audience research to produce optimised posts and immersive content that fans wanted to engage with. 

Each post was optimised with World of Wallpaper’s goals in mind. We made sure the creative we produced was exactly right for their brand and to match their target audience. Links to products were included and a strong call to action message was used to drive results. 

We also created 4 videos under the hashtag #MyWowWalls to push engagement further with their newfound audience. These videos were published on Instagram and then Facebook for further reach.

What were the results?

We really made an impression with World of Wallpaper’s online following. Their fans more than doubled, seeing a growth of 150% month on month. Post reach also increased across channels, with 148,957 post impressions being made. 

But it wasn’t just reach that increased, World of Wallpaper’s followers were engaging with the posts too. We saw 3,245 users engaging on Facebook and Instagram, up by 1,242% on the previous month. The #MyWowWalls videos received 6,336 views and what’s more, cost per engagement remained low, at just 0.005p.  

As reach and engagement grew, so did the click-through rate. With links included in the posts, World of Wallpaper saw an increase in the number of clicks through to site by 2,773% month on month.
