Il Patio is the largest brand within Rosinter, the biggest restaurant group in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe – boasting 362 restaurants in 9 countries and 41 cities. Il Patio are proud of their attentive service, homely atmosphere and dishes that are prepared according to traditional Italian recipes from the heart.
The chain of pizzerias needed a creative agency to help rebrand Patio Pizza into Il Patio, with a vision to become the market leading Italian inspired restaurant chain, famous for serving great food with stylish menus and fantastic staff. The new brand needed to reflect their core values – authenticity, integrity, fresh, fun and success.
Il Patio were seeking a new brand identity to help lead them and their franchisees forwards into what has now become a competitive and emerging market in Russia. Their signature flame sat at the heart of the brand and played an important part in retaining the brands equity. By retaining but refining the flame, our creative team could re-signify both the passion of the staff and the wood-fire ovens that became synonymous within the restaurants.
A contemporary take on a classic Italian typeface was created for the logotype to be read in both English and Cyrillic, whilst the descriptor was shortened to reflect a more discerning market. The existing colour palette was then refined to reflect quality, fresh food and value propositions.
