Red7 Ultimate Fitness Event

Red Hot Penny and client, Red7, organise ‘Ultimate Fitness Challenge’ press event.

RHP client, Red7 is a group activity trip specialist, who specialise in hen and stag weekends. This January, keen to inject some signature Red7 fun into the New Year health craze, they hosted their ‘Ultimate Fitness Challenge’ press event and enlisted the help of RHP.

Hosted at the Mendip snow sports activity centre in Somerset, journalists and bloggers from the fitness industry took part in snowboarding and abseiling lessons to get a taste of what Red7 offers their hens and stags. The event was also a great opportunity to draw attention to their fitness activities.

How Red Hot Penny helped

The Red7 event was organised in conjunction with RHP’s PR team, who managed to secure the attendance of key press, including the likes of Men’s Health; Women’s Health;Adventure 52 and Wedding Ideas, to name a few.

On the day, the PR team chaperoned the journalists from London to Yatton. The event lasted all day and included lunch in a rooftop cabin. It was a great opportunity for Red7 and RHP to build relationships with journalists and utilise content creation, with pictures of the event as well as social media interaction.

The press and client came away from the day feeling excited about new fitness challenges in 2017, and the Red Hot Penny PR team received some fantastic feedback.

Press coverage

Since Red7’s ‘Ultimate Fitness Challenge’, the day has had some great coverage on social and print publications, including a feature on Men’s Health’s Instagram story and Healthista’s Vanessa Chalmers’ Instagram.

Overall, the ‘Ultimate Fitness Challenge’ was a success for Red7 and RHP, and the PR team did a great job of ensuring things ran smoothly.
