We are delighted to announce the launch of the first transactional UK website for camera bag giant Lowepro.
Lowepro, which was founded in a garage in Colorado in the 1960s, rapidly became one of the world’s leading camera bag brands through its innovative and effective bag designs. Traditionally selling its products via UK resellers such as Jessops, Currys and independent camera shops, the new website is the brand’s first foray into selling directly to consumers in the UK.
The new site will predominantly be used as a marketing tool to build on the UK brand presence of Lowepro, driving UK traffic from the current US site to lowepro.co.uk, enabling the delivery of relevant local content and giving the UK consumer a choice to buy direct from the brand.
Natalie Littlehales, Digital & Ecommerce Marketing Manager at Lowepro commented:
As the first major localisation project for Lowepro it was really important that we used a vendor who understood the complications of integrating a UK website into the larger business from both a marketing and logistical perspective. From day one we had key internal stakeholders bought into the project and Red Hot Penny ensured that they engaged with the whole business to ensure that we could progress as swiftly and simply as possible. Everyone at Lowepro has been impressed with the service from Red Hot Penny and the intuitiveness of the systems we have been introduced to.
The launch of the UK website completes phase one of the project, with subsequent phases including site launches in both Germany and France.
